About the artist

Born in July 1961, in Manchester England, the eldest daughter of Keith and Freda Jones, Heather’s artistic talent was recognised from an early age.
It was not until she had a career break after her third child that she decided to try to turn her ‘hobby’ into something more substantial by returning to college.
Meeting like minded people opened the flood gates for Heathers inspiration and she studied for a further four years gaining a total of Ten City & Guilds qualifications in various art and design subjects.

Heather's paintings come under the category of contemporary fine art, using mixed media; acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, textured paint and textured mediums and metal leaf, along with mosaic tiles, beads and mirrors.

Heather first heard of Feng Shui in the early eighties when her parents went to live in Hong Kong, after that she was hooked, studying the practice as much as she could through books and lectures.
Other interests include a lifelong love of reading, absolutely anything relating to interior design, holistic medicine and a passion for travel.

Heather's daughter, Sam, creates the fabulous crystal suncatchers in the crystals section. Sam has a natural affinity with crystals and an amazing talent for design.
